The Romanian company Minet SA has ordered the neXline spunlace eXcelle line from Andritz. The new line will be able to process different fibers from 25 to 70 g/m2 to produce a wide range of hygiene products. The launch is expected in the second quarter of 2022.
This production line is the first production line in Romania with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons, a working speed of 250 m/min and a maximum capacity of about 1,500 kg/h at the carding port.
ANDRITZ will supply the complete line from web forming to drying. The line will include the TT high speed card, the reliable Jetlace Essentiel spunlace machine with the neXecodry S1 energy saving system and the neXdry double drum fan dryer.

Our strategy has always been to identify and adequately meet the needs of the market,” said Cristian Niculae, Commercial Director of Minet. “The main reason we decided to use the spunlace process was the recent rapid development of our local wet wipes market. Romania was supposed to have spunlace nonwovens, so Minet, a local leader in nonwovens, decided to be the first local factory to use this technology. .”
Minet and Andritz’s previous collaboration included the installation of the neXline eXcelle needle punch line, which mainly serves the automotive market. Under this contract, ANDRITZ supplied a complete line from fiber preparation to the final line, and also integrated a carder, a crossover, a felt drawer, two needle punches and a working width of over 6 meters for the Zeta felt drawer. The line is also equipped with the unique ProDyn roll analysis system, which works as a feedback control system to ensure perfect product uniformity.
Minet, founded in 1983, is the largest manufacturer of nonwovens in Romania, serving over 1,000 customers. The company annually supplies about 20 million square meters of needle felt for various sectors such as automotive, geotextiles and fillers.
